Guddling About: Dumfries was commissioned by ArtCOP21 Scotland and The Stove Network, Dumfries in December 2015 as part of a programme of creative responses to COP21 and climate change.
The River Nith in Dumfries town centre is prone to seasonal flooding. The Guddling About: Dumfries micro-performances were intended to invite people to engage with their feelings about the regular incursion of water into the city centre (which has become more frequent in the last decade), and to consider the Nith’s relationship with its wider water catchment area.
